The Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) has recognized Dr. Jerlando F. L. Jackson.
Jackson, the Vilas Distinguished Professor of Higher Education and director of Wisconsin’s Equity and Inclusion Laboratory (Wei LAB) received the Council on Ethnic Participation Mildred García Award for Exemplary Scholarship (Senior). This award honors a practitioner-scholar seminal that focuses their research and advocacy towards underrepresented populations of color, according to UMW School of Education News.
Jackson received his award at the 43rd annual ASHE Conference in Tampa.
