With just two weeks left until the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)’s 2019 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, the gathering has gained a lot of attention as 1,800 participants have registered to attend.
The event titled “Raising Our Voices: Reclaiming the Narrative on the Value of Higher Education” will take place from Jan. 23-26 and will showcase best practices and student programs of AAC&U colleges, universities and community colleges.
On Thursday, January 24, 2019, Diverse will host a panel discussion on minority faculty and recruitment moderated by executive editor Dr. Jamal Watson.
Planned topics and themes discussed in a variety of plenaries, forums and over 125 concurrent sessions will reinforce the relationship between life, work, higher education and citizenship by outlining best practices created for all types of students, disciplines and higher education institutions, according to an AAC&U officials.
