The University of Akron School of Law announced Wednesday that it will allow applicants to submit GRE scores in lieu of LSAT scores. This allows potential students to consider other graduate programs alongside law school.
At least 46 other law schools have adopted this policy, as well, including public universities like Florida State University and University of Arizona and private universities like Harvard, Columbia, Cornell and Georgetown. However, University of Akron School of Law is the first law school in the country with an annual tuition of under $25,000 to accept the GRE, the school reported in a news release. It’s also the first public institution in Ohio to do so.
University of Akron School of Law is now accepting applications for spring, summer and fall of 2020. Applicants can submit GRE scores from the past five years.
