Two people have died and another remains wounded following a shooting at a Texas A&M-Commerce University residence hall on Monday.
At approximately 2 p.m., A&M-Commerce cancelled classes and instructed its students to take shelter as it investigated a shooting at Pride Rock, a three-story residence hall for freshmen.
Since then, shelter recommendations have been lifted, but Pride Rock and the surrounding area remain closed as the criminal investigation continues.
On Twitter, the police department said additional shelter for displaced students and counselors was made available at the Rayburn Student Center.
