Greenfield Community College President Dr. Yves Salomon-Fernández will step down from the role Aug. 15, MassLive reported. Salomon-Fernandez will become senior vice president at Southern New Hampshire University.
In a letter to the college community, she wrote about wanting “a less public life.”
“The pandemic has given me space to reflect on what I’m doing with my life and what lifestyle I want to pursue. I took stock of where I am,” Salomon-Fernandez said in a phone interview with MassLive Wednesday.
“I’ve been in very high profile roles for the past decade. I had to decide whether I wanted the next decade to be the same. I chose a less public role that will give me more time to spend with my kids, my family and loved ones,” she said.
