The Yale University School of Drama is going tuition-free due to a $150 million donation from entertainment executive David Geffen, WTNH reported. This applies to both the school’s current and future students.
Tuition costs will be eliminated for students pursuing a degree or certificate enrolled for fall semester and returning students.
The drama school will be renamed the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University.
The gift – the largest on record in American theater history – makes the school the first tuition-free drama school.
