Dr. Kauline Cipriani has been appointed vice president of diversity and inclusion at Colorado State University (CSU), effective Aug. 1, the Coloradoan reported.

Additionally, Cipriani will hold a faculty position in the ethnic studies department.
Past roles Cipriani has held include serving as associate dean for inclusive excellence at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and assistant to the provost at Purdue University.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Prairie View A&M University and a master’s in microbiology and genetics and a doctorate in food microbiology from Purdue.
