Dr. Anthony B. Johnson has been appointed provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Morris Brown College, a historically Black college in Atlanta that is looking to regain its accreditation.
Johnson is currently on the Board of Directors for the National Institutes for Historically Underserved Students.
He most recently served as the interim vice president for academic affair and chief academic officer at Philander Smith College; associate vice president for academic affairs and associate professor at Grambling State University and associate dean and assistant dean at Howard University’s School of Education.
Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from University of Southern Mississippi, a master’s degree in elementary education from Jackson State University and a doctorate in education with a concentration in special education, research & statistics from Jackson State University.
