The Ohio State University Ups Its Security Following Spike in Nearby Crime

The Ohio State University has upped its campus security measures following a spike in violent crime near campus, reports ABC 6 News.

The new measures include additional light towers, security cameras and strengthened patrols, which have cut down crime, according to OSU President Dr. Kristina Johnson.

“We are taking multiple measures in our approach in keeping students faculty staff and our community safe,” said Johnson, in a video statement issued Tuesday, to worried students and parents who have been calling for her to address the issue.
