He was previously chair and medical director of the emergency department at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Maryland. Linton holds a bachelor’s degree from Howard University and a medical doctorate from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He also earned an MBA specializing in medical services management from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
