CHERYL HOLCOMB-McCOY

Cheryl Holcomb-McCoyhas been named president and CEO of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.Dr. Cheryl Holcomb-McCoy

Since 2016, Holcomb-McCoy has been the dean of the School of Education at American University. She previously served as vice provost for faculty affairs campus-wide and vice dean of academic affairs in the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University. She will remain on the faculty at American University. She has a Ph.D. in Counseling and Educational Development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (1996), an MEd in School Counseling from the University of Virginia, School Counseling (1989), and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Virginia (1986).
