Pamela WilksDr. Pamela WilksPamela Wilks has been appointed Provost of Paine College.

Formerly at Coppin State University, Wilks will oversee the academic affairs of the college, ensuring the quality and integrity of its educational offerings. Her role encompasses curriculum development, faculty affairs, and the enhancement of academic standards.

Wilks has also held administrative and teaching positions at Edward Waters University, Shaw University, North Carolina A&T State University, Johnson C. Smith University, Livingstone College and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Wilks holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from North Carolina A&T State University. She earned a Ph.D. in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
