Curtis L. Coleman

Prior to joining Delta State, Coleman served as Executive Director of Admissions at Virginia State University. Under his direction, VSU saw a 55% increase in new student deposits while simultaneously raising academic admission standards, as well as a 64% boost in first-time freshmen and transfer enrollment.

Coleman's career spans leadership roles in admissions, student success, advisement, and academic instruction. He has held key positions at institutions including South College, Life University, and the University of West Georgia.

Coleman holds a Doctor of Education in Student Affairs Administration and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, a Master of Education in Professional Counseling and College Student Affairs from the University of West Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from South Carolina State University.
