As a first-generation college student, explaining my day-to-day life as a student is challenging. CHERYL HOLCOMB-MCCOY
CHERYL HOLCOMB-MCCOY has been named dean of the School of Education at American University, effective July 1. She is vice provost for faculty affairs and a professor of counseling and human development in the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University. Holcomb-McCoy earned a bachelorâs and a masterâs from the University of Virginia, and a doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

RAJEEV PARIKH has been named executive vice president for academic affairs at American International College. He was dean of the Walker College of Business and Management at Mercyhurst University.
