Dr. Shantay R. Grays, Howard Community College

Dr. Shantay Grays is the provost and executive vice president at Howard Community College. There, she provides leadership, oversight of student services, academic affairs, advising, development, engagement, and enrollment services. While her leadership encompasses developing strategies for student services, Grays’ research interests center on issues affecting graduation and persistence rates of African American and Latino males in higher education. Grays is affiliated with professional organizations such as the NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, the National Council on Black American Affairs, The Presidents’ Roundtable, the American Association of Women in Community Colleges, and the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
