Vermont College of Fine Arts to Sell Three Campus Buildings to Local Business Owners

The Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA) will be looking to sell three campus buildings to local buyers, WCAX reported.Vermont College Of Fine Arts

The school recently agreed to sell the Crowley Center, the Gary Library, and the Martin House to a group of business owners named β€œ150 Main Street.” The buyers aim to turn the buildings into a health and wellness center.

β€œWe’re just excited that those buildings will be able to stay in some productive use for the community and not be idle and they will be active and there will be vibrancy in that neighborhood,” said Montpelier City Manager Bill Fraser 

VCFA recently withdrew an application to change its zoning criteria. And in 2022, the low-residency college announced plans to move its summer residency program to Colorado College.
