Bronx Community College (BCC) is partnering with universities in India as part of their Green University Network to combat climate change together.
The partnership began in 2019 through the Green Mentor Program, which connected BCC with Indian institutions. Through these connections, students in both countries explore how pollution impacts New York City and communities across the globe.
“It puts the Bronx in the center of India,” said Dr. Neal Phillip, BCC professor in the department of chemistry, earth sciences, and environmental sciences.
Students from BCC will have a chance to travel to India in the coming year.
