All Usa Academic TeamThe All-USA Academic Team has named its twenty top scholars and awarded them each a $5,000 scholarship.

The awardees were all nominated by their colleges for extraordinary academic and intellectual rigor, achievement and leadership, personal growth, and effort to improve their communities. They will be recognized formally at the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) convention in New York City on May 2.

The 2022 All-USA Academic Team is supported Cengage, an education technology company, AACC, and the honor society Phi Theta Kappa.

Kevin Carlsten, senior vice president of the U.S. Higher Education Institutional Group at Cengage, said that Cengage wants to do all it can to support community colleges and their students, especially considering that, over the last two years, community college enrollment has dropped 15% nationwide.

“Community colleges play an important role in providing affordable education that helps students transition successfully to the workforce,” said Carlsten. “[We] are deeply inspired by the achievements of this year's All-USA Academic Team, as prime examples of the power of learning."
