Dr. Anne McCall will become the 13th president of the College of Wooster, effective July 2023, which will make her the second woman in the role.
"I'm honored and thrilled to be chosen as the next president of the College of Wooster," McCall said.
McCall is currently provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Xavier University of Louisiana. She has also served as associate dean for Tulane University's School of Liberal Arts; dean of arts, humanities and social sciences at the University of Denver; and dean of Harpur College of Arts and Sciences.
McCall has almost 17 years of classroom experience teaching women's studies and 16 years in administrative positions.
McCall holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and German from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in French literature from the University of Strasbourg in France.
