Rassheedah "Eda" Watts has been named interim vice chancellor for equity and inclusion for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
Since 2020, she served North Hennepin Community College as associate vice president for equity and inclusion and vice president, equity, inclusion and culture. There she worked in tandem with cabinet leaders cultivating partnerships for student success and community inclusion. From 2017 to 2020, she served Blackburn College (IL) as the director of diversity, inclusion, and student success. In this role, she provided counsel on cultural and racial crisis management, equitable policy best practices, and discrimination complaints, and she supported historically marginalized student populations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University, a master’s from Southern New Hampshire University, and a doctorate from Trevecca Nazarene University (TN).
