Sean Kelly

Sean KellySean Kelly has been named the next dean of the Honors College at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Kelly previously served as the director of the Interdisciplinary School for Engagement at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), a position he has held since 2022. He served as the dean of the Honors College at UTSA from 2016 to 2022 in addition to his appointment as a professor of philosophy and classics. 

Kelly earned his doctorate in comparative literature and master’s in philosophy from Binghamton University. He was awarded a bachelor’s in philosophy and English from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
