Dr. JL Porter
With over 17 years of distinguished service in public and private universities and community colleges, Porter joins the college from Averett University in Danville, Virginia, where he served as dean of students. His leadership experience spans various institutions, including Forsyth Technical Community College and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where he has been a driving force behind initiatives that prioritize student success, inclusion, and leadership development.
Porter holds a Doctorate in Education from Capella University, a Master of Education from American Intercontinental University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
