Dr. Freda Patterson
Patterson, a professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences, has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed articles and currently serves as principal investigator or co-investigator on several federally funded projects. Her research focuses on sleep health, cardiovascular disease, and tobacco dependence.
Patterson earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Loughborough University in England, a master’s degree from Arcadia University and a Ph.D. in Public Health from Temple University.
