University of California and Staff Union Ratify New Four-Year Contract, Pay Raises to Come

University of California (UC) and union Teamsters Local 2010 ratified a new contract Oct. 24, which covers UC’s clerical employees, library assistants, childcare teachers, and other administrative staff.University Of California

The four-year contract – it runs from July 1, 2022, through March 31, 2026 – provides annual pay increases totaling 15% over the life of the contract, including a 6% pay increase in the first year, annual increases starting the second year, and a $3,000 lump sum payment.

“The contract recognizes the vital role these employees play in UC’s delivery of world-class service to students, medical center and clinic patients, faculty, staff and the public at large, and their commitment and resilience over the past two and a half years throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” read a joint statement from UC and Teamsters.
